Happy Wednesday, everyone!
I feel like all my posts during these winter months are some version of a faux fur coat and a pair of leggings or jeans (see here, here, and here). Diversity is clearly something I need to work on! (HA)
But it’s kind of tricky dressing cute when it’s a frozen tundra outside. I mean, everything I am loving these days is either sheer, flowy, sleeveless, or a not-warm fabric. Ugh, the struggle.
Can Spring just hurry up already?
I really should have postponed this shoot, as it was super rainy/misty this particular morning. As you can see, there are tons of puddles and the streets are wet.
But, this brings up a nifty little NYC fun fact:
They film a lot of TV shows in the city (especially in my neighborhood – Gossip Girl trailers were constantly outside my door!) And they actually like when a light rain comes and washes over the streets because it makes them look better for filming. The rain washes away all the NYC dust and dirt and makes the streets look clean and shiny.
Kinda interesting, huh?
So, I guess if you look at it that way my shoot was perfectly timed. And, the streets do look pretty pristine here. So maybe those TV people do know a little somethin’ somethin’.
GREY FAUX FUR COAT / LEGGINGS (similar) / BOOTIES (similar) / POM-POM HAT (similar)
Anyway, I’m wearing a grey faux fur coat (surprise, surprise). It’s lined in satin and is super plush and cozy. It’s also the perfect length on me, cropped just enough so it covers, but not too long so that it overwhelms. And I love the misty grey color of it (see what I did there?).
I know this coat is selling out fast, so I’ve linked a couple of similar styles here and here.
I paired the faux fur with some faux leather “liquid” leggings that were a super steal at under $10! And, although this exact style is currently sold out, I’ve linked a bunch of my faves in the slider below.
Also, how cute is this pom-pom hat? Pom-poms have been all the rage this winter, especially when paired with faux fur. I am also linking a ton of cute pom beanies below, so be sure to click through to find your fave.
