If you don’t live in an area where it snows, and I mean really snows, then maybe you’ve wondered what the day after a snowstorm looks like.
Well, it pretty much looks just like this! The day after a storm is usually beautiful and features majestic snowscapes which are, by far, the best part of the storm. I like to think it’s something to look forward to while you’re trapped inside during the blizzard. The next day the sky is usually exceptionally blue and the sun just glistens on the snow covered leaves and trees, creating a sparkling effect in every direction.
The forests are like a magical fairyland full of fluffy white snow. Everything is quiet and peaceful, except for maybe a faint trickle of a nearby stream, if the water hasn’t completely frozen over. Matter of fact, directly to my right in these pictures was a perfect little ice pool that had formed on top of the stream. I so wish I had gotten some shots of it because it was just beautiful.
Anyway, for my day-after-the-storm look, I decided to wear this blush pink faux fur jacket. It has got to be my new fave. I seriously felt like a snow fairy frolicking in the frozen tundra with it on! It’s lined with a satiny inner panel, so it’s super warm, too. An essential element for snow fairies, obvi.
But, the most amazing part is that this jacket is on sale right now for UNDER $35! That’s such a great price for a super cozy winter coat. Plus, I have a feeling faux fur will be sticking around long into Spring time, too. Which is great because this blush pink color works just as well in the Winter as it does in the Spring.
I paired the jacket with my fave Topshop denim and some taupe colored faux suede ankle booties with a block heel. I like how these elements added a bit of an edge to the look, paired with the super feminine pink jacket.
My booties are on sale right now for ONLY $25 and they also come in black shown here. The heel is the perfect height so it’s comfy all day and you can actually walk around in them without your feet screaming for help. And at that price, you really can’t go wrong!
