SWEATSHIRT / JEANS (similar) / BOOTS (similar)
For today’s post I decided to switch it up with a more tailored look. If you know me, I don’t think anyone would qualify me as a real structured type of person. Matter of fact, this is probably about the most tailored you will ever see me!
I usually prefer a more “free spirited” look, whether it’s a breezy, ruffled, boho dress with boots or a more edgy look topped with a black leather moto jacket. But I think this look proves that you can wear a more structured look while still having fun with fashion!
In my opinion, this tassel sweatshirt looks way more expensive than it actually is. I mean, it’s under $50! (Plus get 25% off your order with code PARTY25). But I feel like this could totally be included in a high end brand’s merchandise mix, with all those intricate tassels.
The fit is perfect for me, and it’s cropped just the right amount (not too short!).
As for the jeans, this is what I call re-purposing denim…these jeans are super old from Forever 21.
They have that awful full-leg bootcut that’s no longer on trend, but I absolutely love the washed out gray color. Not to mention the fit is pretty decent, too! I think we all can admit that it’s hard to get rid of jeans that fit you just right, no matter how out of style they are.
Well, I am glad I kept these because I’ve invented a new way to style those old bootcut jeans…the large cuff up!
And I’m even more excited because the large cuff works SO well with the ankle boot/sock boot trend that’s popular right now. The shaft of the ankle boot fits perfectly snug beneath the cuff…so rad!
My faux crocodile boots are actually vintage from the 90’s, but these or these are very similar. And for a more unique take on the look try these fun croco heels.
So, what do you think of my version of tailored?
Do you have any jeans in your closet you just can’t get rid of, and will you be trying the large cuff up trend?
