Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I spent Saturday doing a bunch of housework and then Saturday night went to a wine tasting party with some friends. Oh, you fancy, huh?
Anyway, today I am showcasing two trends that are super in for Fall: the bell sleeve and the sock boot.
Ahh, so much trend in one little post!
This embroidered top has got a lot going on, but in a good way. It took me a while to figure out how to put it on, mostly because the neckline has this criss-cross thing happening, and it buttons around the back.
I admittedly did not do a great job of capturing it in the pictures, but take my word for it, it’s very unique.
It also has amazing bell sleeves (which is one of THE trends for Fall), but in addition to the flared sleeve, they have an open slit going up the arm. This makes it the perfect top for this time of year. When it’s cold enough that you want a long sleeve, but it’s still warm enough to show a tiny hint of skin.
The top also has a very intricate embroidery pattern in a bright coral thread on top of the fabric. The embroidery adds that little extra element of design that Free People is known for.
My absolute favorite part of the outfit, however, has to be my new pink suede sock boots. I am obsessed!
First of all, I am a huge sucker for anything suede (even faux suede!). But especially when it comes to shoes, boots, pumps, all of it.
These pink suede sock boots are super comfy, soft, and surprisingly flattering on the leg. I always worry that boots that hit above the ankle (or between the calf and ankle) will be unflattering because they cut your leg off in an awkward spot. Not true of these bad boys.
They are very fitted so they basically hug your leg (hence the name: sock boot) and don’t give you that weird cut-off look that some boots will. These are definitely keepers! And they come in a black, beige, and taupe too, which are even more neutral and versatile.
