I’m so excited that today is Friday, I’m seeing stars!
I realize this may have been a better PRE-New Year’s post due to the starry print and fun patch booties, but oh well! ย Better late than never.
I hope everyone is doing well post New Year andย clinging for dear life keeping up with their New Year’s Resolutions…
Ok, so let’s talk sweaters. ย Mine is from a brand called Lucy Paris, which I’ve worn several times already on the blog. ย Their styles are so fashion forward and always fit in the right places – aka – they cinch in ever-so-slightly at the waist creating a slimmer figure and they crop at just the right spot on the hip. ย (I’m wearing an XS for reference – and they do run slightly big).

Another big trend we’ll be seeing a lot of this season is patent leather. ย Patent leather alwaysย reminds me of when I was little and my mom would dress me up in these shiny black patent leather Mary Jane shoes. ย Did anyone else have those?!
Well, my love for black shiny things has continued on and has taken the form of this A-line mini skirt! (FYI: Just got word this skirt is on sale for only $12.99?! Unreal.)
Patent leather can be a bit dressy, so I wanted to pair it with something a little more laid-back and casual. ย Enter: myย denim patch ankle booties!
Hello, how cute are these denim patch ankle booties?! ย So fun. ย The best part is that they were less than $25! ย They also come in a darker wash denim color, so if whitewash denim isn’t your thing, I still got you covered.
FYI: they do run slightly big, so I would size a half size down for the perfect fit.
I love mixingย dressy items with more casual pieces. ย Something about that juxtaposition just gets me.
