Fall in New England with RE/DONE

This post is in collaboration with RE/DONE. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.RE DONE Levi's Jeans

Earlier this week I snuck back to the East Coast for a super short little visit. I originally wasn’t planning on going back, but I had some personal/family things that I needed to take care of, so here we are.

It also seemed like a very well timed opportunity to enjoy some of that wholesome Fall foliage that New England boasts this time of year. And, of course, to document it for you with some photos!

I never really appreciated the colors of Fall growing up. It wasn’t until recently when I really had to force myself to stop and admire the things around me. And when I did, I realized how beautiful they were. I mean, those colors!

But, the New England foliage season can be a tricky thing. There are good foliage years and bad foliage years.

Sometimes the leaves do not even have a chance to change colors if a severe frost hits early, thus killing the leaves and immediately turning them brown before they fall. So then we’re left with ugly bare, brown tree skeletons for the rest of Winter.

And some other years, the warmer temps from Summer and lack of rain continue into Fall, pushing out the foliage season well into November.

So, you just never know. I think I timed it kinda perfect this year…normally by Halloween the majority of the leaves are on the ground, but this year most are still intact.

Anyway, enough about that. This is one of my favorite hiking spots near my hometown, and I just knew it had the perfect ‘overlook’ spot to see some pretty trees. BUT as soon as I made it to the top and went to shoot some pics, I realized my camera was not in the bag. UGHHH. So, I actually had to go back the next day and do it all over. I am actually SO embarrassed to admit I made this total rookie mistake.

Anyway…moving on!

As soon as the temps start to get cooler, I look forward to breaking out the sweaters and jeans that were too warm to wear in the Summer. And nothing says Fall like a good pair of denim, am I right?

I recently discovered the ‘it-label’ RE/DONE and I am obsessed. RE/DONE is a luxury denim company that takes vintage Levi’s jeans and reworks them into modern fit jeans, denim skirts & shorts. You know that iconic 90’s fit denim you’ve been searching for? Well, search no more because RE/DONE has done it.

I’m wearing the ‘vintage high rise crop‘, and although I paired them with hiking/combat boots, hence the scrunchy look, the fit is 100%. (I did have to size up because apparently no one had hips & a butt in the 90’s?? LOL. Like, what did normal, non-Kate Moss sized people do?!) The fit is snug in those areas, so if you have any of the above, I’d advise going up a size.

The jeans are also made of real denim material which means zero stretch, but also means that the perfect fit won’t sag out on you after one wear. Ugh, isn’t that the worst?

I also love being able to boast about wearing sustainable fashion. Because sustainability is sexy, right? Each pair of RE/DONE jeans are carefully hand selected and recycled into modern day wearable pieces. If that’s not my kind of recycling, then I don’t know what is.

RE/DONE was also nice enough to extend a 15% discount code for my readers, so be sure to use code QUARTZANDLEISURE15 to save on your next order!

Thanks for reading, friends!
