Summer in Sicily with Beach Riot

With most of us trying to eke out that last bit of Summer sun, I wanted to recap my trip to Sicily and one of the best days we spent there.

We stayed in the most amazing resort in the beautiful town of Cefalu, on Sicily’s north shore, about an hour east of Palermo.

This relaxing resort was just what we needed after a long week of traveling, driving, and staying with family on the Southeastern coast of the island (you can read more about one of my favorite little towns here). Don’t get me wrong, all the home cooked Italian meals were amazing, but sometimes it’s just so.much.food!

And pretty much the worst insult you can give an Italian woman is to not eat the food that she has slaved over all day cooking for you. So yeah, you know how that went. #pastabelly

Anyway, when we arrived at Le Calette resort in Cefalu I knew this was just what we needed. I also knew it would be the perfect place to wear my new bikini by Beach Riot.

Can I just say, I am absolutely obsessed with this brand. They make the cutest suits in the most updated and modern cuts, but also have options that aren’t too cheeky or revealing like some trendy contemporary swimsuit brands can be. Sorry, but some of us just can’t pull off a full-on thong, am I right…or is that just me?!

The fabric on this Beach Riot suit is super stretchy and soft, and I was completely comfortable wearing it all day long at our own private swimming grotto (more about that coming soon!).

I am wearing a size medium in both (I ordered medium just to be on the safe side), but I probably could have sized down to a small and been fine (especially in the top). The criss-cross top has a heavy duty metal closure in the back, giving it a super luxe feel, but also providing great support, which is something I always appreciate, anyone else??
