As I type this post up, I am sitting inside our NYC apartment, even though it’s a perfect, sunny, Spring day outside. I am taking care of my boyfriend who just had surgery for a lingering sports injury. Honestly, it was painful surgery but what is more painful is the fact that he is perhaps showing symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome recently. For those who do not know, the above-mentioned disease is caused when pressure on a nerve in your wrist causes pain and numbness in your hand and fingers. The truth is that I am heartbroken to witness the pain he is experiencing, first surgery and now a tingling sensation in his hand. I really do not want him to undergo another surgery for this, which is why I consulted a doctor who hinted that resting is often best (if individuals dislike invasive processes). So, currently, he seems to be resting a lot. And since he can’t do much on his own right now, I’ve been cooped up inside, at his side, for the past 4 days. The only time I’ve really been out is to get groceries and a quick stop at the bank.

These times have been really tough on both of us. I really want that he recovers soon and we live our lives like we always used to. I think massage therapy can speed up his recovery. On having asked some of my friends, I got a few suggestions for a massage therapist jacksonville fl. I think we can consult him. Simultaneously, I am looking for similar options nearby so that my baby won’t be needed to travel much with his pain. Also, once he gets well completely, I would be able to devote my entire time to blogging.

So yes, cabin fever has definitely set in!

I was in the worst mood today (if you watched my Insta Story you witnessed that I resorted to eating ice cream for breakfast, straight outta the carton) and even considered writing a future post entitled “10 Reasons I Hate Living in NYC” (haha). I might still actually do that because living here isn’t always just rainbows and unicorns, but for now I will just be grateful that I get to live in the best city in the world.

Tonight, I felt much better after I took a walk around the neighborhood and made a quick stop at TJ Maxx about 15 mins before they closed. Just that little bit of retail therapy was enough to turn my mood right around!

When I got back we watched Pitch Perfect (you can always rely on Fat Amy to turn your frown upside down.) By some divine miracle my BF actually agreed to this movie – I think he secretly loves it!

Anyway, these pictures were taken in better times (lol) on one of the first really warm and sunny days this year.

I love how this striped Tobi romper has adjustable ties on each arm, so you can tie it as tight or as loose as you’d like. Nothing is worse than putting on a cute off-the-shoulder top in the morning, leaving the house, and then realizing you won’t be able to lift your arms the whole day. #beentheredonethat

And, have I mentioned how much I love wearing a good romper in the summer? They’re just so damn easy to wear. No worrying about matching your top and bottom. And they usually cinch in at the waist so they’re super flattering (although today I decided to pair my romper with something similar to this cool belt).

Now that Summer is almost here (I seriously thought this day might never come), stay tuned for lots more romper styles to be featured on the blog! And, coincidentally, lots more pinstripe styles, too! If you want to see my top pinstripe picks for the season, click here.

I’ve recently revamped the entire Quartz & Leisure newsletter, so if you don’t want to miss out on any of that romper action, you should probably sign up here. I promise I won’t bombard you with countless daily emails (only about 1 or 2x a month).

And finally, I want to thank all of you who follow along with my daily content on my social media channels. Please continue to tag me in your posts, share with your friends, and spread the love! And for those who aren’t following, why don’ you get in on the action? I can be found on: Instagram, Twitter & Pinterest! 🙂
