Happy Friday, everyone!

As I write this it’s currently 82° and sunny outside, which is unseasonably warm for this time of year. However, when I took these pictures a few days ago it was a rainy, cool Spring day. Ahh, the struggle of living with all 4 seasons.

And while bloggers in other parts of the country *ahem* LA *ahem* are sporting sundresses, tank tops and cutoffs, it’s not quiiiite that warm here yet.

When the days come with a chance of rain or wind I always like to sport a chic hat to top off my look.  I like to do this for a number of reasons.  #1 it will keep the raindrops from falling on your head and face, keeping you warmer than you would be with a soaking wet noggin. #2 it hides the fact that your hair may look like a wet rat’s nest under there.

We all know the struggle when it comes to humidity, frizz, and keeping the healthy volume in our hair when it comes to a rainy day.  So the #3 reason is that even if the rest of your locks go flat from the moisture, a cute hat will keep your look neat & stylish!

My hat is from the Aegean Hat Company, whose Greek fisherman caps have been made by hand in a small town outside Athens, Greece since 1886. And, they’re the only authentic Greek fisherman’s caps obtainable in the US! You can get one like mine by clicking here, and they come in 3 color options: navy, gray and black.

Also, my ruffle sleeve sweater was only $39 at Nordstrom.  I went there last weekend to pick up a few things, and the saleswoman was so in tune with my style, she left it in the dressing room for me to try on because she thought I would like it.

Well, she was right! And trust me, they are usually never right. I actually liked it better than a similar style that was $99. So, thanks Nordstrom saleswoman for saving me $60!

So, I am curious as to what your preference is when shopping…do you like super attentive sales people that help you every step of the way? Or do you prefer to be left alone to browse the racks in silent contemplation?

I am definitely the latter, I usually can’t stand when sales people approach me (and have been known to leave the store if they bug me too much!).  So, which one are you??  Let me know in the comments below!

And make sure you don’t miss out on any of the other styles I’ll be wearing this season by signing up for my newsletter or following along on my Instagram, Twitter & Pinterest! 🙂
